Terms and Conditions of Use of Kansuien Garden and Tea Pavilion "Nanzanso" of the Ogawa Family Garden of Scenic Beauty

*Applications are accepted up to two weeks prior to the date of use.

◆ Point

These terms and conditions of use set forth the matters necessary for the management and operation of Ogawa's Garden Kansuien and the Nanzanso Tea House on the premises (Hereinafter referred to as "the Facility".) managed by the Ogawa Memorial Foundation (Hereinafter referred to as the "the Foundation") for use in events that contribute to the spread of Japanese culture, including the tea ceremony, or to the promotion of the local community.

◆ Application for Reservations

When you wish to use the Facility, please agree to abide by the " Terms and Conditions of Use " and send us an application form by e-mail or facsimile or call us at least two weeks prior to the date of use.

◆ Terms of Use

The hours of use of the facility are from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., unless otherwise approved by the Foundation.
Fees for use of the facility are as follows.

〇All prices include tax.
〇Entrance fee only: free gallery at reception and free guided walks in the Kansuien Garden
〇Entrance fee is not included in the Minami-Sanso entrance fee. Adults: Entrance fee 500 yen + Nanzanso entrance fee 1,000 yen, for a total of 1,500 yen.
〇Children under elementary school age are not allowed to enter the school. A parent or homeroom teacher must accompany the child.

◆ Use of the Facility

If the Foundation deems there to be no obstacle, users may enter the Facility between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the day before use to make various preparations.
If you wish to enter the Facility the day before, please notify the Foundation of the number of people who will be entering at least one week prior to the day of use.

◆ Matters to be observed

 Do not use the Facility for any purpose other than that for which it was approved.
 Do not transfer or sublease the right to use the Facility.
 Do not engage in commercial activities such as the sale of goods in the Facility. No commercial activities such as the sale of goods are to be conducted in the facility, except in cases where the Foundation deems such activities to contribute to the promotion of the community.
 Smoking is prohibited in the Facility (garden and teahouse "Nanzanso").
 The hours of use must be strictly observed.
 When the use of the facilities is finished or discontinued, the Facility must be returned to their original condition, cleaned, and tidied.
 Prevent fire and theft.
 Do not deface or damage the building, facilities, equipment, collections, structures, fixtures, etc.
 Prohibit the bringing in of hazardous materials.
 No pets are allowed.
 When drinking alcohol, please use the Facility with due care for the preservation of cultural properties. Please be careful when using the facilities when intoxicated or in any other state that is deemed inappropriate for the use of the cultural properties.
 When strolling in the garden, please observe the precautions and instructions provided by the Foundation.
 The Foundation reserves the right to revoke approval for use of the garden if it deems the use of the garden to be inappropriate for the preservation of cultural properties.

◆ Restrictions on Use

 When there is concern that the Facility may be damaged (e.g., by a large group of people)
 When it is recognized that there is a possibility of disturbing public order or good morals.
 When it is recognized that the person concerned belongs to or is related to antisocial forces or their equivalents.
 When it is deemed that there is a hindrance to management
 When the Foundation deems the applicant to be inappropriate.

◆ Cancellation of Approval and Suspension of Use

 When the approval for use has been violated
 When there is a false application for use
 When the facility cannot be used due to a disaster or other reasons
 When there are other unavoidable administrative reasons for the Foundation to cancel the reservation

◆ Cancellation of Reservations

When a user wishes to cancel the use of the facility, the user must notify the Foundation immediately.

◆ In the event of damage to the Facility

 In the event of damage to the Facility by the user, the Foundation will request the users shall promptly report such damage to the Foundation and restore the facility to its original condition at the user's expense.
 The Foundation shall not be held responsible for compensation for any injury sustained by the user or damage to the user's property in the facility, except in cases where the Foundation is found to be at fault.

◆ Miscellaneous Provisions

In addition to the provisions set forth herein, other necessary matters shall be determined separately by the Foundation.
